This March we are hosting SOLO Wilderness Medicine School's two day WFA Training. WFA is a great course for the outdoor enthusiast who wants a basic level of first aid training for short trips with family, friends, and outdoor groups. Accidents happen, and by learning a few core skills you can make the difference between a good outcome and a bad one--and maybe even save a life.
This course is 16 hours and focuses on the basic skills of: Response and Assessment, Musculoskeletal Injuries, Environmental Emergencies, Survival Skills, Soft Tissue Injuries, and Medical Emergencies. There are ongoing written and practical assessments and upon completion of the course, you will receive a SOLO WFA certification, which is nationally recognized and good for two years. CPR Training is optional and is also a two year certification.
Cost of the course is $225 with an additional $45 if you opt in to the CPR training.
This training is now full and the registration is closed. If you'd like to be added to the waitlist please contact Kristen Schulte at email@example.com.
This course will have classroom style portions but will be centered around scenarios, hands-on and peer-to-peer learning, and will be partially based outside.
