Missouri River Relief is seeking a passionate, organized, and experienced Education Coordinator who will work closely with the Education Director to plan, develop, and deliver Missouri River Relief’s educational programs.
Status: Exempt/Full Time, Salaried
Start Date: May 30th (with possible earlier start date)
Location: Columbia, Missouri
Salary: $32,000 - $36,000 (commensurate with experience)

As part of the Missouri River Relief Education team, the Education Coordinator plays a vital role in the planning, development, and delivery of Missouri River Relief’s educational programs. These include field trips (school and family groups), summer and seasonal day camps, in-school programs, booths at public events, and custom program offerings. In addition, this position involves administrative and programmatic functions, program marketing, program facilitation, and instruction. The Education Coordinator will have excellent organizational, communication, and written skills, possess the ability to engage youth, and demonstrate a passion for the environment and teaching.

Missouri River Relief is a small but mighty 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to connecting people to the Missouri River through hands-on, on-the-river stewardship, education programs, and recreation events. Since 2001, we have been growing and deepening our impact throughout the Missouri River Valley from St. Louis to Omaha, NE. We currently have nine full-time and one part-time staff.
We are known for hosting large, efficient, impactful river clean-up events with hundreds of volunteers. Our experiential education programs have served over 35,000 students and teachers since 2001, bringing many of those students to the river for the first time. Our recreation programs, including river excursions, floats, and races, continue to grow in participation and diversity and in 2020, we added the MR340 paddling race to our family of recreation events.
Because of Missouri River Relief’s exceptional programs, there is a growing demand for our on-the-river experiences. With our continued growth comes the need for an education coordinator capable of performing administrative and programmatic functions, program marketing, program facilitation, and instruction.
