UPDATE - Missouri River Relief loved our years hosting the Wild & Scenic Film Festival. Our last Fest was in 2021.
In 2024, Missouri Coalition for the Environment revived this beloved community event.
About the Festival
The Wild & Scenic Film Festival is organized and produced by the South Yuba River Citizens League (SYRCL) in Nevada City, CA. Their flagship festival is held annually in Nevada City and Grass Valley, California, and spans 5 days featuring over 100 films, workshops, visiting filmmaker and activist talks, family-friendly programs, and art exhibitions.
Missouri River Relief was a part of the Wild & Scenic’s On Tour program along with 250 environmental nonprofits, schools, museums and businesses across the country. We had the honor of choosing from a diverse lineup of outdoor adventure & environmental films from around the globe.
This friend and fundraiser for Missouri River Relief always warmed our hearts during the cold winter months, jump-starting the organization for another season on the river. Rockin’ live music, fresh popcorn, silent auction, a 50/50 raffle and a diverse lineup of outdoor adventure and environmental films from around the globe made this Columbia, MO staple event a must-attend.
The current has carried us away from hosting this festival, but we hope the community will continue to enjoy memories of years past...
