When we first started working on river races on the Missouri River back in 2006, the Missouri River paddling community was pretty small. Since the MR340 race began to blossom from 16 paddlers its first year to hundreds, Missouri River paddle racing has really taken off. We’re proud to be a part of that growing community, providing safe paddling opportunities for everyone from world-class athletes to complete beginners.
The granddaddy of Missouri River races, it’s known as the world’s longest non-stop paddling race. 340 miles from Kaw Point Park in Kansas City to Lewis & Clark Boathouse in St. Charles, MO. The race goes all night long and is scheduled for a full moon in July or August.
The MR340 is run by Rivermiles as a fundraiser for Missouri River Relief. www.rivermiles.com
