A huge, Big Muddy thanks to the 256 volunteers that donated their Saturday morning to help clean-up the Missouri River in St. Charles!
This was our 10th river clean-up in St. Charles. With the recent flooding, plus some serious searching by all of the volunteers, there was no problem finding piles of scrap metal, tires, bottles and stryofoam to clean up off of the muddy banks. 7.7 TONS of trash were removed in just a few short hours, to include an astounding 169 tires! Thanks for helping make it happen!
This event was hosted by Missouri River Relief and sponsored by Ameristar Casino, Missouri American Water, and a bunch of great Sponsors & Partners listed on the right.
Biologists from the Missouri Department of Conservation, alongside MRR boats helped shuttle 256 volunteers on a beautiful clear September morning, to help us remove 7.7 TONS of junk from the river!
