Omaha/Council Bluffs Missouri River Cleanup 2021

Date: May 21, 22 & 23, 2021
Location: Omaha, NE & Council Bluffs, IA

Missouri River Relief is officially returning to the Omaha/Council Bluffs area to host a series of on-the-water Missouri River cleanups, engaging families and civic groups in stewardship along the banks. This series of cleanups will take place on May 21 - 23, 2021 on the Missouri River along the Omaha and Council Bluffs stretch. We are continuing with our COVID policies designed to keep our staff and volunteers safe which means that our event and boat capacity will be greatly reduced. Rather than our traditional model of putting 200 volunteers on the river for a single day, we are spreading this opportunity over the course of 3 days, working with much smaller groups each day.

During our time in Omaha and Council Bluffs we will be hosting two volunteer opportunities, one on Friday, May 21 and another on Saturday, May 22. On Sunday, May 23, we will be hosting our friends at Fontenelle Forest. Below is the location and sign up information for two different cleanups.

Make sure to read carefully so that you sign up for the correct day and show up at the correct location. We cannot guarantee space for those who need to switch days.

Please limit your registration to one day only. We want to offer this opportunity to as many different people as we can.

Please limit group sizes to 6 to ensure we can offer this opportunity to as many different people as possible.
