Child Carriers at the Lend & Learn Library

Make Spending Time Outdoors a Family Affair

When families have meaningful experiences outdoors their quality of life, health and social wellbeing improve. We believe that everyone deserves the opportunity to enjoy time outdoors, but we know that outdoor gear for families can be expensive, especially when kids outgrow these items so quickly. This is why we have partnered with First Chance for Children, a non-profit that provides early childhood programs and family resources to foster healthy outcomes for children and families to offer five child carriers for hiking. Whether you're new to hiking or an experienced hiker, consider making the next time you hit the trail for a few miles into the woods a family affair by checking out one of our child carriers.

About the Child Carrier

The child carrier is a unique double halo harness designed with front-facing arm loops allows you to easily and safely buckle your child in place. Designed for child and adult comfort. A padded cockpit made up of soft contact surfaces and ventilated side panels for children, and a breathable mesh back panel and hip wings for adults. Cord attachment loops keep toys and pacifiers within reach and a built-in sunshade protects your child from the sun's rays, giving you peace of mind while adventuring together.

The child carrier cannot be used for children weighing less than 16 lbs. or more than 40 lbs. Do not use the child carrier if the child is less than six month and cannot sit upright unassisted.

Hiking with Children
