Join Our River Leadership
We're looking for people who share our belief that the Missouri River belongs to everyone—and that everyone deserves the chance to experience its power and beauty firsthand.
Our board isn't just about governance and strategy (though we do that too). We're a group of river champions who help guide an organization that's changing how entire communities see and care for the Missouri River. Board members get muddy boots at cleanups, watch kids touch river water for the first time, and help shape programs that turn fear into love, one experience at a time.
What We're Looking For:
- People who believe in the power of hands-on experiences to change hearts and minds
- Community builders who understand that caring for the river means caring for each other
- Strategic thinkers who can help us grow our impact while staying true to our grassroots spirit
- River enthusiasts who get excited about connecting people to Missouri's waters
What You'll Do:
- Attend 4-5 meetings per year (with options to join virtually)
- Help guide strategic planning and organizational growth
- Serve on a committee that matches your interests and skills
- Be part of the community that's rewriting the Missouri River's story
Board members serve 3-year terms and become part of a leadership team that's as passionate about river adventures as they are about responsible stewardship.
