Working on the Missouri River, we are lucky to meet so many different travelers crossing the nation with so many different stories. We met Sara Dykman when she was paddling the entire Missouri/Mississippi River system with friends, teaching students all along the way.

Several years later, she did her "Butterbike" tour, tracing the migration path of monarch butterflies from Michoacán, Mexico to Canada and back on her bike - and she stopped by to give a powerful Big Muddy Speaker Series presentation. Sara is a thoughtful, passionate and knowledgable biologist, artist, adventurer and activist.

We are so excited to learn that pre-orders are being accepted for Sara's new book about her "Butterbike" expedition called "Bicycling with Butterflies: My 10,201-Mile Journey Following the Monarch Migration".

Find out more about her adventures at - www.beyondabook.org/Four years ago this week I arrived in Mexico to start my bicycle adventure following the monarchs. I am thrilled to officially announce the publication of my book, Bicycling with Butterflies. I promised the monarchs I would be their voice, and this is what I came up with. Part science, part adventure, part love letter to nature. I hope you love it! www.workman.com/products/bicycling-with-butterflies
