The monthly Big Muddy Speaker Series is held in Rocheport, St. Charles and Kansas City.

The monthly series is held in three locations, Rocheport , Kansas City and St. Charles. The free presentations bring in experts to discuss Missouri River issues, biology, hydrology, history and more.

River Heroes Gala Nov. 12

Faultless Event Space in the historic West Bottoms
Kansas City, MO  6:00 - 9:00 p.m.

Please join Missouri River Relief in honoring River Heroes Tony Jean Dickerson and the Hulston Family Foundation at the River Heroes Gala on Thursday, Nov. 12, 2015 at the Faultless Event Space in Kansas City.

The Missouri River will be the backdrop at this spacious and historic venue in Kansas City’s West Bottoms area. Enjoy drinks, dinner, live music by the Kaw Mountain Band, a silent auction and awards presentations from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. Tony Dickerson and the Hulston Family Foundation have been instrumental in enabling Missouri River Relief to continue its mission of connecting people to the Missouri River.

Race to the Dome - Sat. Oct. 17

Providence or Hartsburg to Jefferson City

It's the sixth annual Race to the Dome. Missouri American Water is the sponsor and it's a benefit for Missouri River Relief on a beautiful fall day. 

Pick your poison! Either 15.8 miles from Hartsburg or 26.6 miles from Providence Landing on Perche Creek. Both races end at the beautiful beach at Wilson Serenity Point (Noren Access), just across the river from the state capital dome.

The Adventures of 12 Students on the Missouri River

Can you imagine exploring the Missouri River by boat, learning about ecology, history and the biology of aquatic river life from experts in the field? This is how 12 Missouri students ranging from 12-18 years old, spent their week with Missouri River Relief’s “Big River Experience” annual summer camp. The camp is part of the Summers@Mizzou program hosted by MU Extension and the 4-H Center for Youth Development. To trace their steps and learn from the adventures of these students, read below to follow their unique experience.
